Family First Ministries wishes to thank those who helped make our August 2015 Clothing Giveaway a success!

First we wish to thank Superintendent Osie Tatum of the Wisconsin Northwest Jurisdiction / Trinity District for continued support and donations.

Second we wish to thank Valley Transit for partnering with us and letting us take over their downtown Appleton transit center lobby. Without their support, we would not be able to meet those in need the most.

Next we wish to thank all those who dropped off donations of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Without your donations, we would not be able to help the 100 individuals who came out to find new outfits. We also wish to thank the news media for coming out. Thank you Post Crescent for your article and thank you Channel 5 for the pre-event live interview with Pastor and thank you for coming to the event for another interview.

Thank you to our many volunteers who either sorted clothes, were personal shoppers, moved and setup, worked the registration table, those who donated coffee and snacks. You helped make this event a success and helped reach many souls and tell them about God by conversations, hugs, and PRAYER! Thank you and God will bless you for cheerfully giving of your time!

Free Clothing Giveaway this Saturday August 1st at the Downtown Appleton Valley Transit Station from 9:00am until all clothing is gone or 5:00pm.

On Saturday, August 1 from 9:00 – 5:00pm Family First Ministries in partnership with the Valley Transit Station will give away Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s clothing ranging from casual to business professional to those in need at the Downtown Appleton Valley Transit Station located on 100 East Washington Street, Appleton, WI 54911.

As a part of their Free Clothing Giveaway Family First Ministries’ members will work with people on an individual basis to find clothing according to their need with the mission of uplifting the community beyond the four walls of their sanctuary. “We believe it is most critical to meet the community’s spiritual need through prayer and God’s Word, but we also believe God has called us to get outside of the four walls and share the love of Jesus Christ through giving,” said Pastor Alvin Dupree, the founder and leader of Family First Ministries. The ministry also holds annual Toy and Clothing Giveaways, and provides free family counseling Tuesday through Friday through their Living Forgiven Counseling Center.

Last year the free clothing giveaway reached 100 individuals or families and continues to grow each year. All clothing or financial donations can be dropped off at the church Wednesday thru Friday from 9:00 until 5:00pm and anyone interested in volunteering to help prepare for the giveaway or on the day of the giveaway, please contact the church office at 920-903-1159.

Wisconsin Northwest Jurisdiction Holy Convocation is July 28th to August 2. This is a huge event for our Jurisdiction. The evening services are highly blessed and Holy Ghost filled!

Family First Ministries will be taking the bus and attending Thursday and Sunday. Our Pastor will be a guest speaker on Thursday so let us show up FFM style!

With all of the blessings that God bestows on us, it is important that we take the time to appreciate those who share His love and His Word with us. Family First Ministries Church of God in Christ has been very blessed to be the recipients and guests of the efforts of Pastor Alvin and Lady Dupree on Sunday, July 19 at 5:00pm. We invite you to attend a service to honor their contribution to the church and community.

During their first three years here at Family First Ministries, Pastor and Lady Dupree of this community, representing our congregation as steadfast servant of the Lord. They’ve made themselves available for counseling, discussion, as well as welcoming guests and new members with open arms. Their tireless effort in rightly dividing the word of truth and teaching the congregation how to improve our relationship with God has been invaluable. From community outreach to special services, Sunday School to reaching out to those in jail and shelters, Pastor and Lady Dupree have not only been admirable members of the church, but of the community at large.

We ask that you please join us during this time for our 3rd Annual Appreciation Celebration at Fox Banquet located at 111 E. Kimball St. Appleton, WI 54911. The Family First Ministries Church of God in Christ YOUTH is having a car wash on the following dates:

July 24 from 9am-3pm (Youth Men will be at the Copps on Calumet and the Youth Women will be at the Copps on Ballard)

August 7 from 9am-3pm (Youth Men will be at the Copps on Ballard and the Youth Women will be at the Copps on Calumet)

August 14 from 9am-3pm (Youth Men will be at the Copps on Calumet and the Youth Women will be at the Copps on Ballard)

Family First Ministries members and volunteers will be selling fried brats as a part of their annual fundraiser activity on the following dates:

July 10 at the Copps on Ballard from 9am-5pm

July 17 at the Copps on Calumet from 9am-5pm

July 24 at the Copps on Calumet from 9am-5pm

All proceeds will go toward the building fund created to raise funds for purchasing the building located at 300 N. Appleton Street where they currently hold church and community services and administer [free] daily counseling services through the Living Forgiven Counseling Center.

Most importantly, this is not only a fundraiser, but an opportunity for Family First Ministries to connect with the community and share the love of Jesus Christ.
